I think Phillipines government should try as much as possible to play balance politics and avoid entering into conflict with China. United States under Trump is more centered in giving United States citizens good governance. United States may not provide much needed assistance.

That happened because of the recent president, Marcos. He doesn't make friends with China and keeps on ignoring the proposed investments unlike in the previous president Duterte, he was more on China alliance than the USA. It's a reversed situation.
