Why do people still fall victims of ponzi schemes in this time?

Last week, a ponzi scheme that has been operating for about a year in my country went away with millions of dollars of money that people invested in the platform. I am forced to ask why, despite the awareness, people still fall for ponzi schemes?

People still fall victim to ponzi schemes due to greed. Then most of them feel they would be able to cheat the system by entering quick and cashing out before it crashes but they still end up loosing.

Nothing more than greed makes people to be scammed by ponzi schemes and more people would still be scammed tomorrow after reading this thread and post.

I won't bring ignorance into the equation here. There is enough awareness about the working of ponzi schemes. They are just greedy.

Some people that are greedy can easily fall for ponzi scheme. It is unfortunate that a lot of people don't listen to advise until they get scammed especially in developing countries.

For Nigerians I think it's Poverty, greed, and lack of financial education that have been Nigerians continue to fall victims
