I have two dogs, and I have decided to create a fund for them in case of emergencies. I started this a few weeks ago because I want to keep my regular savings untouched. If you are a pet owner, do you set aside money for pet emergencies?

No,I do no save for my pet cat's medic. It is already art of my entire savings. Thankfully, TikTok is always a healthy boy. He likes to always sways his body every time he see me bringing food ,lol.

I don't have pets, and I don't plan on having one, but i think it would be wise for a pet owner to always have budgets for pet emergencies.

I don't own pet myself, so I do not have savings for my pet. I used to have gold fish and I did not have savings for my fish as it was low maintenance.

It's great to hear that TikTok is in good health. And, his name is interesting. Haha. How old is TikTok now? I want a separate emergency fund so I don't have to use my savings for unexpected events.

True that. Pet hospitalization is indeed expensive, so I must be prepared in case something bad happens, as no one will help me but myself. @eLdavis

i don't for now but it is good to establish a financial plan for unexpected vet expenses. A well-stocked emergency kit can ensure pet's safety and comfort

It's a good idea to create a savings account for my dogs because veterinary care is expensive. Because hospitalization is costly, we need to prepare for any emergency.

Fish are much less demanding pets than cats or dogs. We need to ensure their vaccines are always up-to-date and be ready for any emergency.

At present I do not have the time and money to keep pets, all my money is spent on domain renewals. I usually keep low maintenance pets like fish and turtles only.

I previously owned a fish and a turtle, and yes, they were low-maintenance pets. Because prolonged power outages would kill them, I've decided not to get a fish anymore. They rarely make it.

I started saving after getting hit with unexpected pet fees for my dog. My apartment didn’t allow animals at first, so I went through Wellness Wag to get an ESA letter and make it official. Their process handled the evaluation part, but it also made me realize how expensive emergencies can get. Now I keep a small fund aside just in case something happens, less stress knowing I’m covered both legally and financially.

I don't have pets. But when I had my dog, I did not keep a separate pet emergency fund. My household expenses had accounted the expenses on my pet. That included his food, grooming needs, toys, vet visit etc. And we were very aware that he might be in need of emergency fund. Though we did not have separate emergency fund, we have emergency fund allocated for entire household. When need arised, we could use that.

My dog scared me once with a weird cough and I had zero money set aside, so I learned my lesson fast. Now I drop little bits into a separate jar, nothing fancy. I also went through Wellness Wag for his ESA documents which pushed me to finally get all the pet stuff in one place.

I put my pets first. I cut on my comfort to keep them healthy and comfortable.

Been there, unexpected pet costs can be stressful, glad you got things sorted and got organized.

Pet emergencies are not really expensive. Not many people save for such emergencies. Not seen anyone.

Anyone that owns a pet must surely save for pet emergencies. Any living thing that you own can have an emergency situation at any time that would need money to sort out.
Absolutely, pets are family, gotta be prepared.
