According to the report, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 (Central Luzon) has been placed under full alert as part of heightened security preparations for the May 12 midterm national and local elections. PRO-3 Director Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo assured the public of the police's full commitment to ensuring orderly, honest, and peaceful elections across Central Luzon.

She said: We are closely coordinating with the Comelec (Commission on Elections), AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines), and other government agencies to guarantee the safety of the public on election day. The peace of the elections is the peace of the people. As part of the full alert status from May 3 to 15, additional police personnel have been deployed to election areas of concern and polling centers in the provinces of Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, and Pampanga. Fajardo said its operations centers and intelligence units are conducting 24/7 monitoring to detect and prevent any potential security threats. She called on the public to cooperate with authorities, refrain from spreading disinformation, and immediately report any suspicious activities that could disrupt the electoral process.

In addition, “ Fajardo said: Elections are not just the government’s responsibility. They are a shared duty of every Filipino citizen. Let us work together to protect our democracy. Police stations across barangays have also been placed on alert to receive reports and ensure strict enforcement of laws throughout the election period.

In western countries like United States and United kingdom, you don't see police or army during election. Elections use to be more organised than ever. In few hours, the result is out. I pray that democracy can take such roots on third developing countries.

The place that is mentioned here has a problem with peace and order. There are rebels and terrorists lurking around and disturbing the election. The result of our election is released after 24 hours.
