Russia declares a state of emergency after Ukrainian drone strike that damaged a grain terminal

The mayor of Novorossiisk, a key Russian port city on the Black Sea, declared a state of emergency on Saturday, May 3, following what local authorities described as a Ukrainian drone strike that damaged a grain terminal and several residential buildings, leaving five people injured.



Andrei Kravchenko, the city’s mayor, posted video footage on his official Telegram channel showing shattered windows, damaged balconies, and debris scattered outside apartment complexes. A car appeared crushed beneath rubble, and significant structural damage was visible across three residential buildings. Kravchenko confirmed that among the injured was a woman in critical condition who had been hospitalized. Local officials also reported that two children were among those hurt in the incident.

The damage is very minimal and should not be used as excuse to give state of emergency. Though, it depends on what state of emergency means to them. Let's continue to pray that Ukraine and Russia war will come to an end.
