Yes, when i started i had to offer free services to most persons, it was a way to not only advertise my skills, but also improve my work.

I offered free services to people. But not as a pro. I did the free service thing when I was still an amateur.

If you are new, you don't have a portfolio to show, and no one will trust you. If you work for free, you build portfolio easily and also gain experience. It is easier when you offer for free.

Some people do this but I don't like it. At least givee a little off the original price. I will not do anything for free
