A 17-year-old girl, Lizz Njeri Mwangi, has been taken into custody by detectives for the horrifying murder of a three-year-old child in Mchanganyiko, Kiamaina ward, Nakuru county, Kenya.

On Sunday, June 22, 2025, the minor went to church with her mother and other relatives.


Little Margaret Wanjiru went outside to play as the church service went on, and her mother would come out a few moments later to see how she was doing.

Only to find the child dead and was killed by the teenager. investigation is still ongoing though the teenager is saying she was possessed by evil spirit which prompted her killed the child.

This is just so tragic what would have caused this 17 year old to carry out such act. Lot's of weird things happening out there.

Oh my God what a gruesome killing. The mother should not have allowed the child to go out. She was partly to blame. The killer must be killed too.

Yeah it would definitely take its full course. This is really terrifying you went to church with your child and got the child killed

I have never heard something like that before. Most cases with children are being associated with abduction and something of the sought.

I think it is just carelessness sometimes on the part of parents they leave their children without caring so much for their kids
