When dealing with exported goods, it is important to handle them responsibly to ensure safety and minimize waste.

These are the following steps:
  • Check regulations;
  • Separate and sort;
  • Proper disposal:
  • For food products, if composting is available and safe, consider composting; otherwise, dispose of them according to local waste.
  • For medicines, usually pharmacies or designated take-back programs accept expired medications.
  • For chemicals or hazardous materials, follow local hazardous waste disposal procedures.
  • Avoid environmental harm;
  • Donation is safe, and
  • Review inventory practices.
Don’t flush expired medicines down the toilet or pour chemicals down drains, as this can harm the environment. If items are near expiration but still safe and legal to donate, consider giving them to food banks or charitable organizations. To reduce future waste, regularly review stock and implement a first-out system to use items before they expire.

It depends on the item. If its not harmful, i sell it cheap with a warning or use it for demos. If its food or meds it lands in the bin. No use risking your health over a few bucks.

The truth of the matter is that their default setting is to throw these products away cause it is actually faster and easier. Not much people actually care about this process.

Don't just throw the expired products anywhere. You'll be harming the environment. Follow your local regulations to avoid penalty.
I agree with you.you don't have to messed with it everywhere. it is to dispose of them properly according to how it should be done

But most people are reckless, They just throw right away easily. Anyway, we seldom have expired goods. At home, there's none.

Yes that's some humans for you. They do things without thinking about the outcome of such. And it is always too bad.

I heard our neighbor's baby got hurt with an expired medicine thrown by their adjacent neighbor. Her baby picked the bottle containing expired syrup. The bottle was broken and the baby got a terrible bruise. The baby landed in the emergency hospital for a high fever due to tetanus. Their neigbor was charged and penalised severely.
