Benhur Abalos, the Secretary of the Department of Local Government, announced earlier today that Manila, the capital of the Philippines, has been placed under a state of calamity due to the impact of typhoon “Carina.” The city of Metro Manila is currently grappling with severe flooding caused by the relentless heavy rains unleashed by the typhoon. In addition to Secretary Abalos, the mayor of San Juan has also expressed support for potentially declaring a state of calamity in Metro Manila.

There is a series of storm in Metro Manila, but it's always expected every month of July and August. But month of August is observed to always have earthquake.
So like every year during the month of august they usually experience earthquakes?

Is there no earthquake in Nigeria? Your country is lucky for not having experienced being quaked. You are far from the ring of fire.

Wow, you're indeed lucky. My country is also under the ring of fire which is why we are always attack by an earthquake. The worst it always has aftershock that could shock the residents.
