What should small businesses focus more on: quality or low price

As a small and growing business, what do you think should be the main focus here, should the business focus on or quality services, or do you think low prices would be a better suit for the business for growth to take place?
 
That’s a great question, and honestly, I think the answer depends a lot on the type of business and the market it’s trying to serve. For a small and growing business, quality should usually come first because it’s what builds trust and reputation. Low prices might attract attention in the short term, but if the service or product doesn’t deliver real value, customers won’t come back. Repeat customers and referrals are what actually fuel long-term growth, and those are earned through quality.
That said, pricing does matter, especially in competitive industries. A small business doesn’t necessarily need to be the cheapestit needs to be fair and transparent with its pricing. People are often willing to pay a little more if they know they’re getting better service, reliability, or personalization that bigger companies can’t always provide.

You are right, i might patronize a business that sells things cheap but the moment i realize the things are of poor quality, i doubt i would be going back there again.
 
Both are equally important, so they should be balanced. If a choice must be made, prioritize quality. When quality is high, people will buy the product regardless of its price.

You have a point there but don't you think overtime when the company starts selling more expensive products, people might still not take them seriously?
 
I think small businesses need to maintenance a balance. May be sell mid-range products with affordable pricing. If you sell poor quality products, even the price is low, no one will buy.

It all depends on circumstances adaptability, and culture of the people in the community who are the direct buyers. Those well off people never mind the prices as long as they like. There are also cheap looking products but of good quality. It all depends on the financial capacity of the target market. In my case I prefer cheap products as long competitive.
