Authorities claimed that as floods ravage Pakistan's eastern area, more than two million people have been evacuated from the Punjab province. Inam Haider Malik, the national disaster management chief, told reporters Thursday that another 150,000 people had been evacuated from Sindh province, but cautioned that the "number may rise over the coming days." The International Medical Corps said Friday that since late June, monsoon rains had killed over 900 people nationally.

Natural calamities are always there but as a people we should try as much as possible to live in more safer areas so to avoid unnecessary disruptions from different calamities like the floods for sure.
It is true that natural disasters are inevitable, but we can reduce the damage by choosing to live in safe places. I also believe that taking precautions before a disaster occurs is a wise step, especially for communities that are prone to frequent flooding.

Building homes on higher ground, paying attention to hazard maps, and investing in good infrastructure are ways to protect ourselves. This is not just about property security, but also about protecting lives and daily peace.
