Mountain bikers find missing hiker nearly nude in Idaho

According to the report, a missing hiker who was the subject of an intense multi-agency search and rescue effort in Idaho was rescued by a group of mountain bikers, according to authorities. The Blair County Sheriff's Office said 46-year-old Heather Wayment was discovered more than 17 miles from her last known location on September 18.

The report also stated that mountain bikers who found her, brothers Tommy and Vinton Gwinn, and their friend Shelton Robinson, told East Idaho News that they spotted her in her underwear. They said she was disoriented, her legs were scratched, her feet were raw and bleeding, and she appeared dehydrated and malnourished

The sheriff's office said Wayment was reported missing by her family on September 17. She was last seen the day before, and her car was found in the Prairie Creek area of Blaine County.

She was finally found by the mountain bikers -- who were not part of the search -- about 17 miles from her car on a remote trail in Camas County. At the time, the bikers had been camping, so they didn't see the news alerts about a missing woman.

She might have lost track of her journey. She is lucky to be alive despite her situation. And those who rescued her were good bikers.
