If you don’t have your own money, there are several ways to raise funds to start a business, for example:

  • Borrow from friends or family
  • Take a bank loan
  • Sell assets to raise cash
  • Pitch your idea to investors or business communities
  • Launch a crowdfunding campaign
  • Apply for grants
  • Form a limited company and sell shares
With multiple options available, what would you choose? Which option do you think is available to you, which option do you think is comparatively safer?

For the short time that l have been in the business world, l have learned that not every business that requires capital for one to start. The affiliate marketing kind of business is a commission based business and one can start with absolutely nothing. l have seen most people in my locality selling people's properties like land, cars, houses and earn huge commissions out of it.

Correct, how would you start a business without capital. Don't dream on. It's hard unless you invest in yourself and have the earning to serve as capital. You can also explore consignment, meaning if your goods aren't sold, the business isn't liable for it. It's best to save and after accumulate your savings, you start managing a business that aligns with your passion and skills.

Honestly, crowdfunding feels like the least risky path today. You test demand and raise cash at the same time
Crowd funding takes so much for people to believe in your project enough to raise funds for you. Only very few get crowd funded.

I have been thinking a lot about starting a business without any personal capital, and it is true that there are many ways to raise money. Personally, I would prefer to start by asking for help from family or friends, because it is a close and affordable way.

But I also like the idea of selling small assets like an old phone or computer to get start-up capital. This gives me freedom without debt. In the long run, I would consider a crowdfunding campaign or pitching the idea to community investors.

The safest way is one that does not get you into big debt early on. Build your idea well, start small, and don't give up. Good businesses start with small steps with big vision.

You can start the business that might not necessarily needs funding to start especially with online means
It's true. You can start a business without a lot of capital, especially through online channels. I've also discovered that knowledge and creativity can generate income without much cost. All you need is the right idea and a way to get it to people.
