It has shown me just how easily we overlook small expenses — a few dollar for a snack, the delivery fee, an online impulse buy. They’re tiny and inconsequential by themselves, but when you start adding them up they are actually eating into our budget. I suspect it’s because, in the moment of making them, they don’t seem like “real spending” to us, so we brush them off.
