A medical student from Odisha was raped in Durgapur, Bengal outside her college premises when she went out with her male friend to get some food. The West Bengal, CM says " Why did the girl venture out at 12.30 night". What's are intention? Does she want rapist to loiter freely in her state for whom women should go hungry.
In most private medical they don't appoint sufficient Para medical staff and use these students to work. Naturally they don't get time to eat and have to wait until night. Such colleges should be closed. They are hubs of I justice.

It is truly worrying to see how, instead of focusing on safety and justice, some authorities still blame the victims for such atrocious acts. The question should not be why a woman left her home at a certain time, but why a criminal felt entitled to attack her. These kinds of statements only perpetuate the culture of impunity and fear. Educational institutions, moreover, have a great responsibility: they cannot exploit their students or neglect their basic well-being. If a student doesn't even have time to eat due to a lack of staff and adequate conditions, there is a serious structural problem. The approach must be twofold: on the one hand, protect and support the victims; on the other, demand accountability from both the authorities and institutions that fail in their duties. Blaming a woman for the crime she suffered is unacceptable under any circumstances.

This the government and police should understand. They just want to blame and avoid proper investigation to protect the drug peddlers and rapist.

Why didn't she buy food earlier or brought home cooked food at her school or boarding house? It was a very scary decision buying for food outside at 12 midnight. She was inviting the rapists. She also knew the rampant rape cases in her country? Hoping the culprits were captured and jailed.
