Following up with a prospect is an important part of sales, but it also requires discretion and boundaries. Typically, it is recommended to make six to ten contacts before deciding to give up. However, the length of follow-up depends on the type of prospect and the level of interest they have shown. If the prospect has shown signs of interest, you can follow up for a longer period of time using different methods such as email, phone or direct message. It is important to make sure each contact is valuable and not just a repeat of the same message. Sometimes, a prospect’s silence is not a rejection but simply a delay in response.

For the potential customers of my online business, I remind them once a week. they are also busy, so they might also forget their intention to order my printed t-shirts or branded shoes.
That's cool since they already are your customers. Sending them reminders once a week is fine. It is difficult doing that for people you are trying to convince to patronize you for the first time.

Don't give up on a potential customer entirely. If they are not responding, reduce how you reach out to them. But don't give up entirely on a potential customer.
