It is crucial f the name of your child or sibling does not match with the name he or she is using her enrollment in the nursery. The incorrect name could be a big issue for a child who cannot graduate if the name is incorrect. This is a common issue, and it is usually due to a clerical error by the city or municipal registrar.

What must you do? Contact the city or municipal registrar. Reach out to the registrar‘s office where the child was born. Explain the situation and request a correction to the birth certificate. Gather supporting documents like hospital records, baptismal certificates, and school records. In some cases, you might need to file a petition for correction with the city or municipal registrar or a court. The city or municipal registrar will guide you on the specific procedures.

The process of correcting a birth certificate can vary depending on the location and the specific error. It is best to contact the city registrar's office directly for guidance and to ensure you have all the necessary documents.

Over here we simply go to a court to swear an affidavit, then a lawyer signs it. The affidavit can be used in place of the birth certificate.
Your procedure is different. Though a court is involved, the court will order the registrar to correct the wrong entry of data of the child's birth.

Thanks for sharing, which is very valuable information especially for those of us who are still single, especially if we are married and have children, we must be careful when registering the child's name at the civil registry office, especially if the child is going to register for PAUD and get a certificate, the name must match, it must not be different.

It happened to me and to my niece. I have two names and there is only one name indicated in my birth certificate. I was in Grade 2 when our teacher required us to bring our birth certificate, It was indicated there that my name instead of two , only one. It happened the same to my niece, so we hired a lawyer to issue and affidavit to correct my birth certificate.

Do another birth certificate fast, containing all your names, all else you may have too many problems with immigration
In my country, for a wrong birth certificate, the parents must see a lawyer to seek replacement of the wrongly written name of the child in the birth certificate.

Yeah even using a lawyer for the correction is valid. One just have to do what is needed by the law of their country
