According to the report, eighteen-year-old ballerina Emily Finn went to return belongings to her ex and never made it out alive. Police say her ex-boyfriend, Austin Lynch, shot and killed her before turning the gun on himself.

Now he faces a second-degree murder charge, and investigators are examining whether warning signs existed long before the breakup, including troubling social media posts.

I believe anyone who commits murder, no matter the age, should be tried as an adult. Taking another human's life is not normal, and just because someone is under 18, it doesn't negate the fact that they took a life. Killing a loved one is not the solution for a breakup. Acceptance of the breakup is the key to moving on.
