‘Bonnie and Clyde’ gang caught after flaunting watches and cash stolen in £1,000,000 spree
An Albanian crime ring dubbed a modern-day ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ gang has admitted carrying out more than 40 high-value burglaries across the UK, stealing over £1 million worth of jewellery, designer goods and cash from wealthy homeowners before being unmasked through photos in which they flaunted stacks of money and stolen luxury items.
Endrit Nikolli, 27, Kristian Gropcaj, 30, George Lleshaj, 31, Krisjian Dedndreaj, 28, and Sidorjan Lleshi, 26, targeted large homes and mansions across multiple counties between December 2023 and July 2025. Detectives eventually linked them to at least 44 burglaries, nine in Derbyshire, eight in Cheshire, five in Nottinghamshire, seven in Staffordshire, two each in Cleveland, Leicestershire and Warwickshire, and nine in West Mercia.
