Buy traffic: yes or no?

Some say yes, others say no. I'd like to know what you think: Is it a good idea to buy traffic? Does it work? Yes or no?

Buying traffic is never good, it only gives you number, it does not give you conversion. Therefore, there will be no revenue.

Buying people to come to site waste of time. The numbers are increasing but there is no meaningful benefit. Visitors are constantly leaving without buying anything. better to find real people to grow your business.

I would buy traffic for my new platform. That's just to have foundational users. I won't do it for a long time though.
