17 year old girl killed by her employer in lagos

A 17-year-old girl, Ihechidere Favour Uka, has been allegedly killed by her employer, Ibekwe Ezinne Mary, 30, following a dispute at a cosmetics shop in Lagos State.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.
According to reports by the victim’s family, Ihechidere, who worked as a sales girl at the shop, was asked by her employer to bring an item. When she arrived later than expected, an argument ensued. Which lead to the employer slapping her twice and the deceased slapping her once, then it escalated.

When i saw the news on Facebook, i was shocked and i find it difficult to believe. A lot of people have anger issue and need to learn how to manage their anger. It is very sad! Very sad indeed!

The salesgirl should not have argued with her employer. She should have kept silent or left the store right away. That was a sorrowful scene.

Exactly, the rate at which people flare up these days and results to such actions is scary. This is one major reason i am always trying to avoid conflict cause i don't know what the other person is capable of

Being an employer does not mean they have the right to punish their sales force. That girl might have been isukted.
