Adedapo Adegbola, a 40-year-old Nigerian resident in the United Kingdom, has confessed to k!lling his British former girlfriend

Nigerian man pleads guilty to m3rder of British ex-girlfriend. The relationship later collapsed, and on October 21, 2025,Adegbola entered a guilty plea at Nottingham Crown Court on Monday over the murder of Steph Irons, revealing that they met as colleagues before their working relationship developed into a romantic one.​

Adegbola went to Irons’ home on Westdale Lane West in Mapperley, where he stabbed her. What triggered the attack remains unknown, as Adegbola has consistently refused to speak with investigators.
