I have been privileged to use a Linux computer and one thing I love about it is that it gives you freedom over your computing life. The only challenge is that it uses Command Line Interface.

Could the command line interface be the reason why Linux is not popular? Would you use a Linux computer?

Very true I have often wondered why it was not popular as well, this could be part of the reasons. From what I heard, they said it is mostly banks and some financial institutions that makes use of Linus.

My own point of view is that windows have more proprietary apps than Linux which depends on a community to get apps. Life is easy with windows than with Linux.
Microsoft figured out very early on that if you bundle programs and apps that people regularly use with an OS such as Windows, people will buy your OS (warts and all) just to access the programs/apps they like.

Window operating system have dominated the industry and it will be difficult to breakthrough. Moreover, Microsoft operating system is easy even for a novice in computer literacy. It is worthy to note that Linux is still making sales but when you compare it to Microsoft, it is below average.

Windows is easier for anyone without basic computer knowledge to play about. With Linux, you need to spend some time to study before you can get used to it. That's why Linux is not making much sales but it is very enjoyable.
