This sort of case is pretty common with our government today. Majority of them have been involved in financial fraud, especially with the country's money but they have gotten away with it.
Even here a large number of high status respectable and powerful people are openly involved in massive financial fraud, and some of the largest tech and internet companies are openly supporting and rewarding the financial fraudsters.
Financial fraud is something that I think if you have connects, you would get away with in most countries. I think the US and China are the only countries that have fought to punish offenders of financial fraud at a level.
I don't like to associate with criminals or dubious people. When once I noticef such about you, I take off but they are people that gets away with crimes

Members have correctly pointed out the level of financial fraud depends on the leaders of the country. I am a victim of financial fraud for more than 14 years, the top tech, internet companies are rewarding the financial fraudsters with government jobs.
l know of a person that went away with one of the five stars hotel's money unnoticed. The incidence happen for more than ten years now.

Some government officials may be able to get away with it. The fraud may not be discovered until it is too late.
Government employees are openly involved in massive financial fraud in the tech and internet sector, and the fraud has continued without being questioned for more than 14 years, with top tech, internet companies also involved.

It is true that this can occur, and some people never get caught. Because they work with other powerful officials, they have a backup in case something unfortunate happens.
In my cou try its easy to get away with financial fraud, all you have to donis rub shoulders with people woth big names like say the president and anyone close to him and you can get away with anything
Some people do operate even online and get away with fraud. We just have to be careful to avoid falling a victim
Most government officials in the country don't get punished really. They are likely making corruption practices to go unpunished for that matter
You are right those that commit the different atrocities in the ministries don't get punished. Thru do walk free too bad
I think most countries have financial frauds. Same case in our city. Some may get caught, some managed to get away.
The best bet is to report the fraudsters they should not go Scot free. They need to pay for their crime
Government intelligence/security agencies are allegedly targeting online workers/investors for financial fraud, so the victim cannot complain to anyone for justice.
Then this is totally bad but how about targeting other international agencies. can they help since you can't get justice in your own country
