I have observed that certain things that were once considered worthwhile and worth their price, are no longer the same. Two such things that come to my mind are fast food and movie theatres. Fast food, which was once deemed a quick and affordable option for meals, has now become an expensive affair. Recently, I ordered a chicken meal and was surprised to find that the size of the chicken was much smaller than before, while the price had increased significantly. Similarly, the cost of movie tickets has skyrocketed over the years, making it a frill to enjoy a movie in the theatre. It is no longer a practical option when one can easily watch movies at home, which is not only economical but also more convenient.
I used to eat in fast food chains like Goldilocks and Chowking, but not anymore during and after the pandemic. Goldilocks no longer sells food. Chowking is getting pricy and food tasteless.

Here it was other way around. People preferred home made meals for health and it being economical. Very few people could afford outside meal. Fast food was not so frequent in middle class economic status. Now, it is getting very common abd loosing its charm. Yes, there us a pinching inflation everywhere.
Now more and more people prefer to watch movies in home. We go out to movie theatre only if the movie is worth watching from the theatre with some impressive visual effects.
@Stardom22 . Bicycles are getting expensive each day. We are getting more and more options there with more advanced features. I would say that it's not outdated yet. People didn't use it much some time back. But now with environmental awareness and for health reasons, many are opting for it for commutation, at least for short distances. I see that the demand is increasing.
Earlier bicycle was considered a source of commutation for poor and lower economic group. But now with its high price, it is not the case. Those who can afford go for it and more for environmental and health reasons.

I still believe that the high demand is not a basis for them to indiscriminately increase the price of bikes to something that the common man can no longer afford.
In my opinion, it's not just fast food and movie theaters whose prices have soared, but almost all types of goods, especially food, there are many factors that influence it, such as rising fat and fuel prices, so the prices of all goods rise.
ln my country the fares on the transportation sector have really hiked and the place where we used to pay for 10kes is now 30 Les which doesn't deserve at all.

More people here prefer home-cooked meals because they are healthier and more practical. However, we have noticed that the prices have increased while the quality has decreased, making it not worth it anymore. That is why, as much as possible, let's go for home-cooked meals.
What was the last movie you watched in the theatre?
Yes, home cooked meals are economical and healthy. Moreover, I like them for being yummy. I can't eat outside meals regularly. I get bored of them.
The last movie that we watched in theatre was Fighter ( a Bollywood movie). It was worth watching in theatre for the visual 3D effects. It was quite engaging and entertaining.
I remember, we used to go for movies and were enjoying there too much. Besides movies the interval burger, chicken roll and cold drink or ice cream were remain a sort of party in between friends. But nowadays things are much more expensive and almost all of my friends quit this habit.

I couldn't agree more; they should not take advantage of the high demand. However, they still do to earn money. Sometimes, we can’t blame them for doing it because they need to survive, too.

Everything has become more expensive, making it tougg to keep up. That is why we have to work even harder to survive, unless we are lucky enough to be born with a silver spoon.

Yes, home-cooked meals are both healthier and more practical, making them an excellent choice. In addition, they offer an opportunity to improve our cooking skills.
Wow, that sounds interesting! It's been ages since I have been to the theater to watch a movie.
In my location, going to cinema to watch a movie is getting very expensive. Other than that, the price of foods and some daily necessities has also soared.

It has been years I actually went to the cinemas. I don't think I can afford to pay movie tickets now. I would rather do Netflix rather than go to the cinemas. It is economical.
