The president of Nigeria , Bola Tinubu said fuel subsidy was removed to prevent Nigeria from going bankrupt. He made this known while speaking as one of the panelists at the ongoing World Economic Forum in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia today.

The World Economic Forum meeting focuses on Global Collaboration, Growth and Energy for Development. We can remember that President Tinubu announced the removal of subsidy the day he was inaugurated into office. but this pollicy, however, has made prices of commodities spike, with an increased hardship in the country.

President Tinubu is of the view that it was needed to reset the economy. he said it is no doubt that it was a necessary action for the country not to go bankrupt and that it is in the best interest of the people.

Nigerians what do you think?

That's crucial, mate your country to go bankrupt. Nigeria is a big country. I understand that your country's president seemed manipulating. There should be press release about his contention of your country to go bankrupt if the subsidy wasn't removed. That's absurd for me.

Your president is doing sitting pretty, relaxing. He is always in full but the people are surviving. he should do something.

The government is supposed for the people and by the people. Your government is a superb croc. I pity the masses, that is too much to bear by them, the hunger and the oppression.

It's survival of the fittest. you just have to do what you can to keep making money to eat

That's a hard ordeal some people to bear and overcome. Hoping there's always rain so the farmers can plant and produce good crops to survive and sell the produce.

I don't even know what to say any longer about this. The fuel price is currently at 810 naira in my location.
That's too much, there might be transport strike for fare increase. What a suffocating problem like that.
