I cannot say about other places but in my home country, radio stations are losing listeners and hence their revenue is on decline
Sure that's the way to go. Aside creating awareness let their bandwidth or coverage be wider to make much outreach
The more the listeners they get the more sales they get. Therefore radio station owners work on increasing their geographical coverage to increase the amount of audience.

I think this is everywhere, while there are people who still listen to the radio, the number of listeners has decreased drastically, especially now that people have access to the internet and social media.
