For entrepreneurs just starting out in the F&B (food and beverage) business, it's often difficult to determine the appropriate selling price for a particular food item.
Once you decide to start an F&B business, you need to determine not only the menu, taste, and service you offer, but also the right selling price. But how do you do that?

Of course, compute on how much you spend buying on those stuff by category or kind, compute the amount you spent on those ingredients including the cooking oil, sauce, vinegar, spices and more. And then you have to categorize the menu accordingly.

You need to consider all costs related to the food item, including the ingredients, the overhead cost of preparing the food. Other than costs, setting the price also depends on the market positioning of your eatery. If you target high class customers, the food cannot be charged too low. Otherwise, customers may doubt the quality of the food.
