Emile Herzog (1885–1967), a French writer who wrote under the pen name André Maurois, is credited with coining the analogy between business as a battle between sport and war.

Definitely i agree with this. Sports is an activity you do to keep yourself busy, the same thing goes for business as well. Then in the business world everyone is fighting to ensure they get to the top of their sector or industry.

In a broader sense, business is like sport which requires routine work activities to have a directed goal, business is also like war which requires technical, strategic and analysis of the battlefield (market), so business also requires analysis of competitors in war who are enemies.

Personally i try it to see in this way where sport is something we get good at it when we practice it every day again and again, and war is a fight we straggle to overcome others and try's to be better than others in order not to get killed.
