According to the report, three suspects, including two high-value individuals (HVIs), were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Tarlac and Cebu on Friday, with authorities confiscating PHP8.7 million worth of suspected shabu.
In a statement, the Philippine National Police (PNP) Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) Brig. Gen. Edwin Quilates said suspect alias Jervey, 39, was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 1 a.m. in Brgy. San Bartolome, Concepcion in Tarlac.
The report also said that the suspect yielded 1,100 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of over PHP7.4 million. The arrested suspect was brought to the Concepcion Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition, while the pieces of drug evidence will be turned over to the Tarlac Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
Meanwhile, in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City, Quilates said PDEG operatives arrested two suspects — identified as Jack and Alvin, both HVIs, in an operation around 2:17 a.m. on Friday. Authorities recovered 205 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP1.3 million.
The suspects are now under police custody for documentation and facing charges for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
