Thirty years is too long to sit in an office being told what to do, what kind of person is this? Well, it is a very simple logic, this person does not have savings despite already spent 30 years working in an office. This surely happens to anyone who does not have financial literacy, all they do is spend and spend and the family keeps on barking to stop spending useless stuff because he has no retirement money. This kind of persona wastes almost everything for his old age. Let us never imitate this insatiable person without financial direction.

My dear I have to say that, unfortunately here in Italy things are even worse: this is because in 2011 the Italian Government implemented a job reform that was not welcomed by everyone called Legge Fornero. Whith that change, today it is possible to retire only after having worked for at least 41 years and 7 months, or upon reaching the age of 67!(n)
But what was the cause? You have to know that in Italy ince the early '90s there have been too many early retirements, with many worker's retiring when at the time where just forties. So this has led nowadays to having too many pensioners and few contributing workers. Always someone else has to pay for other people's mistakes!(n)(n)

The government in that year didn't have a brilliant economist. It could have been avoided letting workers to retire in their 40's. That's horrendous. There was no right planner in the house of Congress or Senate.

If someone graduates from college at the age of 23 and goes straight to work as a civil servant, he will sit in an office for more than 30 years until he retires at the age of 55. The habit of frugal living does not come from financial literacy but from their living habits since childhood and the teachings of their parents which can shape character and discipline. Although financial literacy is also necessary for making financial plans.

That is right, but the said manager was unmindful of the advice of his colleagues or family on how to manage his money. He might retire broke.

But this is a simple logic we just know when to stop spending and save money. We don't have to he broke all the time.
But 30 years is to long to be stupid. That kind of manager might have many mistresses or no interest on financial savings. He already missed 50 percent of his supposed wealth through investment.

Some things in life needs common sense. Spending and spending can only leave one in financial distress and brokenness you just have to be wise.

There are stupid people believing they're executives and their positions remain until they retire. They forgot that there's no guarantee in business and job.

Well said, there are some persons today who do not know how to save simply because of how they where brought up. This is why it is important to teach the young ones the importance of saving and money management.

Some managers are always busy planning, deciding, designing, and instrumenting unable to decide what's best for their finances unless their wives are good enough to handle it, if not, it is a disaster. A manager maybe always told by his friends to plan for his future retirement.

That's right when it comes jobs especially nothing is certain. you can be unfortunate to get sacked. you need something you can fall back on.

That is right so while there is still a job, a manager or ordinary employee should save for old age. Once we retire we need money for food, medicine, and more.

Thirty years of living in stupidity is indeed too long. The person didn't have insights on old age factors that may ruin his finances. When we're old the more money is needed for sustenance and maintenance of medicine.

Such people shouldn't raise a family. A person who is spend thrift should live alone.

It's indeed not good to be kept on reminding until the hair turned gray and too late already. There are people like that too much trust of the present that it remains the same like forever.

This is just the thinking of the older generation, because I think modern people would never hope for a pension. They themselves will provide for their old age and work not for 30 years, but much less, but they will earn more because everyone wants to break out of the system

Filipinos should be offered literacy seminars to know what to do with the money they earn month over month. This hit me in the hit, if only I started early acquiring a house and lot to pay monthly, I should have owned maybe at least two and the other one should be leased. But that is not the case for me.
