On February 6th, a 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck the island town of Panukulan in Quezon province. According to PHIVOLCS, the tectonic tremor occurred 46 km northeast of the municipality at a depth of 10 km at approximately 12:55 PM. The Philippine Volcanology and Seismology has indicated that no aftershocks are expected.
