A business should never invest to train a staff without a well documented agreement.

We have cases of businesses training staff and the staff betray the business by moving to get employed by a competitor. No business should invest to train a staff that has not signed an agreement to stay and work for stipulated years as the business deems fit.
 
Very true, infact most businesses these days are no longer willing to train staffs with their resources cause at the end of the day most of these staffs don't remain.

That might just be the best thing for businesses to do. Because even with a contract, they can still leave. All that would happen would be litigation.
 
Training is very expedient and can be done with or without an agreement. You must be smart as a business person to keep upgrading your staff financially when your staff has improved least he feels cheated and leaves. How can my staff leave when I keep adding incentives to make him feel important? It is almost impossible to loose a staff who feels valued.
