I have heard stories of people that had good college degrees but were not picked for the jobs they applied for. People that don't have college degrees were rather picked. Is a college degree not enough to guarantee a job now?

It's a pity though.There are still companies which hire fresh graduates with a degree. But for a lot of jobs, companies do require people with experience and connections instead of just a degree.
That's absolutely true. In developing countries, college degree holders still struggle to find decent jobs. Many graduates become street sweepers. Although their salaries aren't much different from office workers, what use are their skills?
