A college degree is not enough to get a job nowadays?

I have heard stories of people that had good college degrees but were not picked for the jobs they applied for. People that don't have college degrees were rather picked. Is a college degree not enough to guarantee a job now?

Unfortunately this is the society we are in today, a college degree is no longer enough, even with the best results, most times you still need connections to secure your job.

People should build practical skills in their careers to add to the college degree else they would be unemployed.
