Addressing misconduct within a company is crucial to maintaining ethical standards and ensuring accountability. When a culprit is identified, it’s essential for a company to take appropriate action to uphold integrity and trust within the organization. One key step is to investigate the culprit. The management must conduct a thorough investigation to gather facts and evidence related to the misconduct. This investigation should be fair, impartial, and conducted following established protocols and legal requirements. It happened here in my place and the culprit was fired. He was selling an illegal drug inside the company premises.

That's right allowing the culprit to stay in the company is a big hint for the culprit to do his illegal activities outside using the same people inside as his prospective buyers of the illegal drug. It's best to fire that culprit and report him to the police.

Yes this is not only the right thing to do, but it will also serve as an example to others to not make the same mistakes.
Correct, no one realizes a mistake without the intervention of the right person. it is a mandate to punish the criminal who is doing an illegal act at the workplace.

Exactly, by doing this you are also setting a standard for your business that everyone coming in would follow.

That is right so others will be afraid to follow the footsteps of their colleagues doing an illegal act inside the work premises.
