According to PAGASA, they have been keeping an eye on a low-pressure area (LPA) situated outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility. Fortunately, it has a low chance of directly affecting the Philippines. Weather specialist Chenel Dominguez noted that this disturbance was detected approximately 430 kilometers from Pagasa Island in the northwest region of Kalayaan, Palawan. Meanwhile, the effects of the northeast monsoon have lessened as the shear line—where hot and cold air meet—has shifted its axis, and have direct impact on the Babuyan Islands and Batanes.
