Some artistans always tell their customers to buy the materials that is needed for the job. They, the artisans would just come and do the job.

What are the advantages of allowing your customer to buy the materials for the job by themselves?

When you allow the customer to buy the materials by themselves, you remove yourself from anything that might seem like you inflated price of materials.

I love this point of view. Your job is to deliver your expertise on any quality of material that they have given to you.
One major advantage is that they can never accuse you of using the wrong materials cause they bought it themselves.

Exactly, some customers can be pretty funny, i have seen cases where some argue about the material you use for them, so most time i prefer they bring the material themselves.

Customers and clients though. Instead of them to find a person they can trust to work for them, they want to take the risk to buy materials by themselves. Many of them are duped and sold inferior materials to.

Depending on their budget, the customer can choose to purchase low quality or expensive materials for the work, so the worker cannot be blamed if there is a material problem.
That's a fair point. The customer's choice of materials can significantly impact the project's outcome. Clear communication and agreement on materials and expectations can help avoid disputes down the line.

The other side of allowing customers buy materials for a job is that they might end up buying inferior quality, that when you use it to work, it would affect your brand
Yes that's true but at the end of the day, they can't blame you if it doesn't come out okay. The most important thing is that you let them know before hand.
