According to the report, the assassination attempt on Former US President Donald Trump sparked a security scare. A man was shot dead just two blocks away from the Republican National Convention (RNC) venue. The police recovered two knives from him.
The report added that in a separate incident, the police arrested a man with an AK-47 pistol. The suspect was trying to approach the RNC venue.
Meanwhile, a poll has found that 4 out of 5 Americans believe the country is sliding towards chaos.
Police authorities are still finding out if the man has an accomplice. It is believed that the suspect is not alone.
