After World War Three, how long would peace last?

The First and Second World Wars happened within a very short period of time. From the second to the present, more than 70 years have gone by. Does this indicate that peace may or may not last for more than 500 years following World War 3? I believe that this is a really true pattern.

I don't believe there will be third world war. The world have achieved a great peace through diplomatic relations. The world is a global village that intertwine socially, economically and politically. Forget about some of these wars going on now. Third world war ca never happen.

If a third world war should happen, I believe it would be worse than the last two ones, and the earth might not fully recover. Let's just pray it does not happen .
