Aldar Properties, a major developer in Abu Dhabi, has acquired two logistics assets from AD Ports Group for around 570 million dirhams. These facilities are located in Kezad and are used by Noon and Emtelle. They have a space of over 136k square meters and are directly connected to Khalifa Port and Etihad Rail.
The CEO of Aldar Investment said this is part of their strategy to grow the logistics and industrial platform while ensuring stable income.
Demand for the logistics and industrial sector has increased significantly in the UAE as e-commerce has been gaining momentum. Abu Dhabi and Dubai have now become hotspots for industrial property.
Aldar has also been expanding its presence by investing in projects near Zayed International Airport and buying the commercial tower Dubai IFC.
