There is a boy that has prospects and I want to make him part of my staff team for long term. He is 20 years old. He would work with us part time since our work is part time. I would pay him a monthly salary still. And I have connected him to my friend to give him a full time job that he would be earning full time income.

Am I doing too much to secure him for the future?
 
You are doing your own part and if possible do more. You are helping him to fish than fishing for him
 
I think you are really doing a good thing to support the boy grow up in the career path. So long as you had seen some potentiality in him continue to support him for sure.
True that. Promoting that young man is a very important decision because talents need inspiration to shine. If you have seen a spark in him then do not stop holding his hand until he reaches the peak of his success. Investing in capable people brings positive results and great respect on your part as well.
 
I know that the fear of the original poster is the boy being loyal later. Just do it as social responsibility.
This is the reality of all of this. At the end of the day, expectations should be managed so that it doesn't cause bitterness.
 
You have done a good job. Everyone with potentials needs all the support they can get. Helping him is a seed you might live to reap in future if he stays focus.
Because I look for hardworking young people and give them chance first. That seed will sprout when see them succeed later. advise them not to lose focus so that the fruits can be obtained.
