Am I legally responsible for the sidewalk in front of my store?

If there is a sidewalk in front of my store and someone that was just passing, and not even coming to my shop slips and falls on that sidewalk, is my business supposed to be responsible for the injuries?

What is the legal position on this?

It is the responsibility of a business to ensure that the sidewalk in front of their shop doesn't injure anyone. They take liability if it injures someone.

I don't think your business by law has to pay for treatment unless it was caused by something you did there, or something you kept there.

If the walkway is not maintained properly to avoid such falls, it is the legal responsibility of the business that the walkway is in front of.
