According to the report, an Indiana man has learned his fate after throwing his girlfriend in front of an oncoming train. The 25-year-old Di Morriea Turner of Muncie, Indiana, was sentenced after he threw his girlfriend in front of a moving train during an argument.
The report also said that authorities responded to a roadway in Muncie after receiving a report of a person struck by a train, the outlet reported. After arriving on the scene, officers found both Tuner and his girlfriend near a railroad crossing, per WXIN.
The report also stated that investigators spoke to employees on the train, who said they had seen Turner appear to throw his girlfriend over his shoulder into the path of the train. During an interview with police, Turner said he had been arguing with his girlfriend at the time, but denied intentionally throwing her in front of the train, telling police that he grabbed her because he didn't want her to be on the other side of the train, per the outlet.
In addition, Turner was sentenced to 36 years behind bars in the Indiana Department of Corrections on Thursday after being found guilty on July 30 of the following charges: attempted murder, aggravated battery, and domestic battery by means of a deadly weapon.
