App store ratings can mislead many users. Do you trust them?

Many people base their decisions to install and run an app on their device based on app store ratings. And sometimes those ratings can deceive or flatter. Do you trust app store ratings when seeking to download an app for your smartphone?

That's why I don't go for apps that are having as much as 4.9 star ratings out of a possible 5 star. It always seems manipulated.

It is also advisable to check other reviews especially for apps and websites which promised to pay users money for doing tasks and other work, to avoid wasting time.
