Apple building it's cheapest MacBook ever to be sold at $599 to $699.

Apple Inc has announced that it is already testing the cheapest MacBook that it has ever introduced to the market. The MacBook codenamed J700 would be sold from around $599 to $699.

Apple wants to compete with Windows PC within that price range.

From my perspective, Apple's decision to launch a MacBook in that price range is quite interesting and could mark a significant shift in their strategy. Historically, Apple products have been considered premium and quite expensive, so this move could attract a wider audience that previously couldn't afford their devices. However, I also wonder if they can maintain the quality and performance that characterize Apple at that price, or if they will sacrifice important aspects in order to reduce costs. Would they be able to compete on non premium PCs? I think that Microsoft has that on lock down as they Apple have premium PC.
