Apps not getting downloaded, installed on new smartphone

I find that some apps are not getting downloaded and installed on the new smartphone which I purchased. What could be the reason why the apps are not getting installed on the new smartphone, how to troubleshoot and fix the problem?

Maybe the apps you tried to download are not compatible with your smartphone. Alternatively, it is possible that you encountered a problem with your internet connection while trying to download them.

There are various reasons it could be that the apps are not compatible with your device. Because it works in an older version does not mean it would work in a new version. There are some apps that are only built for older versions phones. Then again it could be network issues. You can try again or simply format your phone since it's a new one.
