A team of archeologists found the ruins of what seems to be a 4,000-year-old sacred temple buried in a sand dune in northern Peru, as well as skeletal human remains that could have been religious ritual offerings.

The remains were discovered in the sandy desert district of Zana, in the South American country's Lambayeque province, a short distance from the Pacific Ocean and around 780 kilometers (484 miles) north of Lima.
