Storing broken plastic basins in bulk often indicates that the store might be collecting them for recycling or repurposing.

These are the few possibilities:

  • Recycling programs;
  • Upcycling, and
  • Waste management services.
They might be accumulating broken basins to send to a recycling facility equipped to handle durable plastics like polypropylene, which is often used in basins. Some businesses partner with craftsmen or companies that transform plastic waste into new products such as plastic lumber, containers, or other items. The store might be working with a specialized waste management service that collects plastic scrap for proper disposal or recycling.

I am not storing any one at the moment and i don't really plan to for now, but i have seen some persons do this.
At home we stored damaged basins but we realized their usefulness in gardening. I planted veggies using them.
