It is definitely true that micro-task sites have a very low ceiling. While they can provide a small stream of extra cash, the hourly rate rarely justifies the effort if you have a marketable skill. Moving to freelancing platforms for copywriting or design is a much better use of time because the pay scales with your experience. It’s better to spend three hours landing one good gig than three hours doing data entry for pennies.

Most of the sites pay low so just to have a fun I work on them not for money. If I am solely dependent on the online earnings then I must be wasting my time.
